Vintage Korean Mother of Pearl Chest. This Mother of Pearl Chest is over 50 years old, and inlaid with real Abalone Mother of Pearl. Measures 46 inches wide, 15 inches deep, and 19 tall. Imported from Korea. Freight Shipping Required. Newer Mother of Pearl pieces are made from artificial Mother of Pearl which is very shiny and bright. Real Mother of Pearl has a dull appearance, and cannot be imported to the United States any more. The Republic of Korea is also limiting exports of vintage and antique Mother of Pearl items from South Korea.
